Production

 

Agripower raw natural amorphous silica is transported by road, 100 tonnes at the time in quad trucks, from the mine site near Greenvale to the Charters Towers Processing Facility, (Plum Tree Site) which is a distance of approximately 300Kms due south of the mine.

 

At Charters Towers, Agripower with the help of the Charters Towers Regional Council, purchased prime land which not only abuts the primary Townsville to Mt Isa rail line but is also located within 2Kms of the Flinders Hwy, and less than 1Km away from a power source. The property is of adequate size to accommodate all expansion phases of the facility up to the required 1M tonnes per annum (tpa) processing operation. 

 

All approvals have been received and the first Stage of the processing facility has been built and commissioned. This first Stage has allowed production at the rate of approximately 160,000 tpa of agricultural grade product.

 

The Processing Facility has the current capacity to produce different sizes of manufactured granules, powder and chips.
